Drumroll please............ We found a title!
In The Back of Beyond
So turns out that the title is one of the most important elements after all. Taylor just kind of stumbled upon this title when she went on a family trip this past weekend. For our storyline, we were thinking of a person who is in this alternate dimension while being watched by the government. This person is confused and lonely while they know they are being watched and tapped into by people from the other dimension.
The part we wanted to focus on was being lonely so we thought to ourselves that lonely is just to simple and easy of a word to use in a short film title. Taylor ended up taking the initiative, quicker than I thought she would (😬), and looked for the title herself. What she did was simpler than I thought. She told me that she simply went onto the thesaurus and looked for synonyms of loneliness. What she came up with was a list of synonyms like deserted, desolate, isolated. Taylor ended up thinking a little more and came up with "beyond" because it fits better with the different dimensions we are trying to portray. Here's how she broke the news to me:
Now that we have a movie title we can move forward and start working on the rest of the short film. In my next blog posting I should be updating you guys with a preliminary short summary of the short film, which, knowing myself, will probably be adjusted a bit before we begin filming.
