Here we go... One Last Dance. This is my final rodeo, my partner and I have decided to do a short film submission and we already started brainstorming outline for it. On this blog, I will be updating you guys weekly on the eight week endeavor in creating this short film.
In our school, we have an annual "virus" that goes around to every senior. A senior is a student in their last year of school in the United States. This virus is called senioritis, in short every senior becomes lazy and does not want to do anything. Senioritis usually hits every student after they are accepted into various colleges, which is something that I didn't want to affect me while working on this portfolio project. So my partner and I asked our teacher to allow us and give us a head start on this project so we could finish before the end of March, which is when we have our spring break. We thought this would be a good idea because we would finish before the break, and not be affected by senioritis after the break.
My partner, Taylor Fishman, and I began by thinking what we had learned in throughout all of AS and A Level Media Studies, and we came to the conclusion that we wanted to do something revolving around sci-fi. We took Netflix's show Stranger Things as an inspiration for our idea, so we wanted to do something where the government would be watching over someone and their every action.
Going into my next few posts, I will be researching about different topics that will help my partner and I develop our idea and researching various elements such as genre.
Lastly, I am excited to see what I can put together and see how my expertise has evolved since last year. So when I finally finish this project I will be able to look back and see my progress.
