Props

Like I said earlier, Taylor and I haven't had much time to see each other and plan things out so we just figured to come up with some preliminary plans such as a rough outline of a prop list. Since we had researched some scifi characteristics last week, we kind of had an idea/visualization of what we wanted the protagonist to look like. Our thinking was that we wanted to go to some rural location, away from suburban life, and really get that eerie feeling. The eerie feeling we were looking for is for one where the viewer knows that the protagonist is being watched and he isn't alone.

So by thinking of all of this we came up with a prop list. We were also thinking of having a kid act as the protagonist since it is much harder for us to find an adult, or an older looking person, that would fit the mood of the film and the persona we are looking for. Similarly, we did not want to go overboard with certain props because we know our production budget, which is obviously $0.00 because it is a school project (unless someone wants to sponsor πŸ€žπŸΌπŸ‘€). So we decided it would be best to use common household items as props and we came up with this shot list:

  - Ripped/dirty clothes (t shirt, pants)
  - Radio
  - Knife
  - Computer(s)
  - Headphones
  - Water bottle
  - Backpack
  - Blanket
  - Lighter

This is only a preliminary prop list, as we go along with pre-production, we will be adding more (we need to add more) to this shot list and will update this blog with more props that we add to that list.
